A gunman who has now remained at large has killed 5 people, 4 women and a man, at the famous Macy’s Store of the Cascade Mall late Friday evening in Washington State.
Dozens of officers have since been dispatched to hunt for the suspect who has been identified by police as a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s. He was pictured with a long hunting rifle and police believe he was working alone.
He was said to have opened fire at a Macy’s store at Cascade Mall in Burlington, about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington State Sgt. Mark Francis said.
Four women were found dead at the store. A man suffered critical injuries but later passed away.
“I’d be extremely diligent and careful if you come in contact with the suspect,” Francis warned in a late night news conference. “Stay indoors, stay secure.”
He added: “You’ve got dozens and dozens of detectives behind me going over absolutely every tip both on social media and phone calls trying to determine where this suspect is.”
Washington State Trooper spokeswoman Heather Axtman said: “We have very little information right now. We’re still trying to gather as many witnesses as we can to get more information.”
