Breaking: Kidnapped Lagos students, teacher, VP freed

The four kidnapped students of the Lagos State Model College in Igbonla, Epe have been freed by their abductors, The Eagle Online is reporting.
The students were freed along with their Vice Principal and teacher, who were also abducted with them.
According to information available to The Eagle Online, the kidnapped students and school staff were freed at about 10:30pm on Tuesday.
One of the parents of the kidnapped students told The Eagle Online that he did not pay any ransom to have his child back.
However, sources told The Eagle Online that the parents of one of the students said to be ill while in captivity, paid a ransom of N1 million.
The suspicion is that the government paid the ransom for the others.
The Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command confirmed the release of the students and teachers by their abductors on its Twitter handle.
The Rapid Response Squad tweeted: “The kidnapped children & teachers of Model College Igbonla have just been released. They are all hale & hearty.”
