President Muhammadu Buhari has begun to look for replacements for under-performing and ‘unknown’ ministers in his cabinet.
Saharareporters reports that the move is coming following the outcry that has trailed the performances of his ministers in the last one year.
Presidential sources according to Saharareporters revealed that the President is set to fire under-performing ministers also based on the controversialinterview his wife, Aisha granted the BBC Hausa Service.
Aisha in the interview expressed her grievance towards her husband for allowing ‘unknown’ persons to hijack the government according to News24.
Speaking during an interview with the BBC’s Naziru Mikailu, Aisha Buhari revealed that her husband “does not know” most of the top officials that have been appointed in his administration while stating that she does not share the vision of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Some people are sitting down in their homes folding their arms only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position,” Buhari said.
Aisha disclosed that her husband has yet to confirm whether he will be contesting the 2019 presidential election but stated that she would not be supporting him should his administration continue on the course that it is currently on.
The names of the ministers to be dropped is yet unknown, but expected to be on the list are ministers who have been embroiled in scandals and those who are consistently under-performing.
