The governor hasn’t been seen at public functions since the third week of October. All state functions have been put on hold, leaving the Deputy Governor, Simon Achuba, with the duty of only receiving visitors on behalf of his boss.
Citizens of the state are saying that the governor is ill and has been flown abroad for treatment.
However, the state government denied these rumors on Sunday.
“The governor is hale and hearty, healthy and unwavering in his vigour to make Kogi State the Confluence of Excellence,” Kingsley Fanwo, his spokesman, said.
