Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently meeting with Senate President Bukola Saraki and House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara over the controversial $29.9billion Loan Request.
The meeting is being held behind the closed-doors of the vice president’s office, Dailytrust reports.
Sakari and Dogara arrived the vice president’s office at exactly 2.00pm.
The meeting is believed to be part of the ongoing consultations aimed at reaching a truce over President Muhammadu Buhari’s $29.9 billion loan request recently rejected by the Senate.
SPY NIGERIA recalls that Senate had on November 1 rejected President Muhammadu Buhari approval to borrow $29.96 billion under the External Borrowing (Rolling) Plan to address the infrastructure deficit in the health, education, water resources and other sectors.
Saraki had equally met Buhari three times over the disputed Loan.
The Senate had penultimate Tuesday turned down Buhari’s loan request, citing his failure to attach more details.
The Senate had also rejected the 2016-2018 Medium Term Expenditure Framework to the president, alleging shoddy preparations.
Meanwhile, President Buhari is yet to depart for Morocco where he is expected to participate in the climate change conference.
