Two brothers have been arrested in Nasarawa State in connection to the murder of their mother who Police say was struck with a machete.

Nasarawa State police command on Saturday arrested a 25-year-old man, Mr. Oyin Osaba, for allegedly killing his biological mother, 75-year-old Mrs. Diji Osaba, following a disagreement in Amba village, Kokona Local Government Area of the state.

While parading the suspect in Lafia, the State Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Sadiq Bello, said the command also apprehended another suspect, Mr. Adamu Iyanga, for allegedly killing his biological mother, 55-year-old Mrs. Hajara Iyanga.

“The suspect, who followed his mother to fetch firewood, hit her with a machete and ran away but he was later arrested.

He confessed to the crime,” said the police boss.
