Osinbajo consults Emir Sanusi over quit notice to Igbo

Ahead of of the scheduled consultative parley with northern traditional rulers on Monday, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday met with the Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi.
Although details of the meeting was not made available to newsmen, there were indications that it may not be unconnected to the recent ultimatum issued by a northern youth group for the Igbos to leave the north latest by October.
The northern youth ultimatum was a reaction to the clamour for secession by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Nnamdi Kanu.
Osinbajo had on Tuesday met with leaders of thoughts from the north followed by same with the leaders from the South East, including their governors, on Wednesday.
The Acting President will today meet with traditional rulers from the South East.
The Emir declined comments when contacted by newsmen.
